The Seychelles

A film in stills about the pearls of the Indian ocean.

The history of the Seychelles begun with the travellers to the East-Indies who came across the islands and met the pirates who'd hidden their treasures here. The life on coco- and spices-plantations was realy not easy-going. Slavery and colonialism led to a melting-pot of cultures. A ideal multiracial society in which different religions and cultural habits exist in perfect harmony together arose. Of course we do not omit the paradisical nature of the islands: the giant tortoises, the worlds no.1 beaches and all variations of the tropical rain-forest will be shown to a large extention in this program.
